I made this hand painted, hand screen printed artist book. It was a source book for the development of my new brand ‘State of Nowhere’. An exploration of the theme of flags and nautical adventures. The flag usually representing the significance of a place - a destination. The concept of a State of Nowhere flag is flipping this on it’s head, because being ‘nowhere’ to me is even more significant as being somewhere. Being in the middle of nowhere is a beautiful place to be.
